I love science and technology to the point I often think I should write science fiction, but I am beginning to think that writing from my heart creates quality that transends writing from my mind.
a combination thereof, Gerald, might satisfy both inclinations.
your background gives you the base for understanding the gross effects of quantum physics, like myself, not to know the physics part of it, but to realize the potential of the quantum on our lives and minds.
understanding there are two realities, takes the apparent need for suspension of disbelief out of spiritual speculation on a "God", and gives us a logical connection to some sense of a universal consciousness, whatever our needs beyond oneness might require.
where faith in particular religions tend to separate us, understanding the potential in the acceptance of quantum fact, brings us together. beliefs beyond the universal are simply different flavored frostings on the sustaining cake of solid fact.
knowing this, which i believe is knowable, connects us with everything, everyone and all potential inspiration. we are free to love and describe.
you are here as you are, Gerald. you have a logical mind and an artistic temperament. i'd say, "use it all".
now, i'll go for a walk/jog in the summer sun before it gets too hot.

when a man refers to the woman [who chose him], as his better half, for once, he tells the truth. - llp - nov'09
The little time I have to respond hardly affords the response I want to give. It is a rare pleasure to read expressions from another that support the persistent thoughts flowing through my mind. Then to have one respond in this way to my writing is like finding an oasis.
I once wrote, “I am standing in the middle of a stream, sitting on a dream.” Maybe that dream is archetypal for my style of writing.
Regardless, my current understanding on the quantum is awareness as wave forms that may eddy into the sense of particles upon their inspection. Forces such as gravity follow by the rapid movement about a center.
You are right; I will have to continue with what comes natural to me. Thanks for seeing that.
though i've enjoyed "mentoring" talented teenage boys and girls here on dA, until recently it's seemed devoid of the experience level to afford real back and forth, except for one or two, when they happened to be around.
there has been one young lady who knows of and deeply cares about the important things in our world, (too young, but so lovely). she's kept me from becoming discouraged.
now, there's you and AlecBell, along with my old friend 'nos, (CyranosDeMet), who is now re-appearing, all of us enjoying the discussion of theory, nuance and the like, (which i like).
i anticipate enlightenment for all of us.
it's time for my walk/jog again. it gets easier as i try to make it a habit.
peace and curiousity, pip

I attend a coffee group Saterday mornings that sometimes reaches these depths of inspiring realization too. It was through them that I agreed I should write. I studied books in these last few years, crude I was. My mentor is now 100 years old. He was a professor of film and theater. Sometimes he will still reads my work with a critical eye. However, science is not as current to him.
I look forward to the pursuit of enlightenment for ‘one and all’. Developing and changing theories about everything is a treat that is both delicious and good to eat. The variables are a nuance in the recipe that keeps sparking new buds of thought.
My lunch hour is nearly over, so back to work. Fully inspired, Jerry
Pip, FYI I spoke with Sherm, my 100 year old mentor, yesterday and showed him some of my select work. He pointed out spelling and grammar errors and then said that I am improving. Darn spell check, It didn't find misspelled words in all capitals, nor the correctly spelled word in the wrong application. He was also happy that others are reading some of my thoughts.

For me I find trying to write within the confines of logic and rationality like trying to...eat a lollie with the wrapper still on.
I just get nothing from it.
